We offer you a 24h/24 service (No curfew but the sound must be turned down at night)
Our house is multicultural. You’ll find people from all origins and all nationalities: that’s the best way to exchange and to meet other people, to exchange and therefore to know the city you are visiting. The hostel is also a place of expression for artists: you’ll find paintings and once in a while live gigs.

We will help you to have your best experience in Bogota and we want you to remember Alterego as the best place you’ve stayed!

2. WHERE TO FIND US, what will you find around us, how to go to the hostel

We are located in the city center, in the La Candelaria area (Bogota’s colonial and historical center) what is by now the most touristic and visited area in Bogota as well as the safest area in town.
Our address is “Calle 13 #3-81”. To come from the airport, any taxi can bring you to us, what is the option we recommend, especially for a first time in Bogota. If you want to know how to go to the hostel using buses, please contact us. If using the public transport system Transmilenio (the big red buses), you’ll have to go to the “Museo del Oro” station, then it will be a 5 minutes walk to go to the hostel. Ask a policeman your way! (yes, you can trust them!)
We are located in the old Colonial city center, what is nowadays the most touristic part of Bogota and the safest place in the city.
The Chorro de Quevedo, what is one block far from our hostel, is the square where was founded Bogota nearly 5 centuries ago. You’ll find here bohemian ambient, artists showing their talents and also restaurants and bars. In the hostel’s surroundings, you’ll find the nicest architecture and artists. The whole area is bohemian, from houses to people. You’ll enjoy a nice experience for your eyes, ears and nose.
We are also located close to the main museums (Gold Museum, Botero Museum, Colonial Arts Museum…), the famous Luis Angel Arago Library, the Bolivar Square, the presidential palace, some theatre and lot more! You’ll be able to walk in less than 5 minutes to all those places.

Feel free to walk around and take some pictures!
